Cube has warned that Battlefield 3 players who play connected unofficial servers could end finished having their Origin accounts banned and losing all the games attached thereto as a result.

If you're playing the Battleground 3 beta, you might want to fill care with which servers you click on. The server files leaked out last hebdomad – quelle surprise – and that's allowed gamers to prepare servers in whatever configuration they same. One such apparatus ratchets the maximum identification number of players in the Operation Underground map from 32 to more than 100.

Sounds like fun, but mind! According to Battlelog user Bazajaytee, who is apparently an connec producer at DICE, those WHO stray onto unofficial servers could nerve serious repercussions, including the loss of all games attached to their Origin account.

"We are cognizant that a list of servers have appeared and are run modes and player counts that have not currently been seen," helium wrote, explaining that official servers run lone the Operation Metro Map in Upsurge mode with 32 players. "Please stave off temptation and persist happening these official servers while we work to have these servers dealt with. Playing on those [unofficial] servers can cause your account statement to become compromised, stats to be altered Oregon other issues to arise which may jumper lead to having your business relationship banned past Ea."

In a follow-up Emily Price Post, he clarified, "If your invoice gets banned it does mean any EA spunky connected your account would besides be unavailable."

Harsh, eh? Origin International Relations and Security Network't the only digital service that can take your toys forth for breaking the rules – I would assume they whol can – but it's not the sort of stick that normally gets swung with such enthusiasm. I don't know about you merely when I'm browsing servers, I look at ping and population and go where the action is; could I be banned because I didn't pay enough attending to my choice of field of battle? Information technology likely won't ever actually happen, but just threatening to relieve gamers of all Ea-registered game they own for what is undeniably a relatively nestlin infraction of the rules is a terrible way to treat your fans and possible customers.
